A friend who owns a bar was gifted with a glass and saved it especially for me... It was wonderful, nicely spicy and perfect on its own, I was surprised it was navy strength. I'll be buying a couple of bottles.

I love both Conniption American Dry and Conniption Navy Strength, but I was a bit skeptical about the barrel-aged Conniption because of some of the examples of cloying, over-bourboned beers that appeared during the barrel-aged this and that trend a few years ago.
Barrel Aged Conniption is amazing. Added subtle flavors and aromas deepens the complexity of an already great gin. I’m sure there will not be enough to meet demand because this is a spirit that should be on everyone’s fall shelf. Wow.
I don’t love most gins but this was delicious! I made my husband and I so many cocktails but my favorite was probably using this in a French 75. I will definitely purchase again!
Really, this is gin, not some bathtub stuff made in Al's uncles basement. Nor is it something made for those afraid of gin. As a gin snob here, you should try this surprising local gin.
Was able to “drop in” when the tasting room was not officially open, and was gladly welcomed at the front door and was able to purchase the Cucumber Vodka. Love the Durham Distillery!
